We had a dog. These first puppies were born under my bed in the early hours of one morning. An odd experience. The picture above is of Bert Baverstock with the one puppy that we kept.

 
One of the biggest problems was the canal network and we were forever getting stuck.

     
During an Eid holiday Mike Savvides and I borrowed the PC's Landrover and headed off into the hills for a few days.

Unfortunately there was a big storm on the first day and many trees were blown over, including this one that blocked our road. We decided to go around but got stuck in a very muddy field, with a bus. It took us many hours to get extricated; de-moralised and covered in mud we headed back to camp!
